Ukrainian defenders have eliminated Ivan Us, the son of a former Belarusian presidential candidate. He fought on the Russian side and went missing in the spring of 2025, according to a statement from the Joint Forces Command of the Armed Forces of Ukraine.

The son of a Belarusian politician had been considered missing, but in October, his remains were found. Us harbored a deep hatred toward Ukraine, which led him to join the Russian army.

It is known that in mid-2010, Ivan Us administered a pro-Russian group called Antimaidan Minsk on the VKontakte social network. That same year, his father ran in the Belarusian presidential election, receiving only 0.4% of the vote.

In January of this year, the Belarusian signed a contract with the Russian forces and went to fight in Ukraine, but went missing just two months later. In October, Us was identified among the bodies handed over to the aggressor state.
