Ukraine's Flamingo missiles hit Russian military-linked chemical plant

Ukrainian FP-5 Flamingo missiles struck the Volgogradpromproekt facility in Volgograd overnight on September 11. A fire broke out at the site following the strike, Fire Point reports.
What's known about the strike
Ukraine’s Defense Forces attacked the facility with FP-5 Flamingo cruise missiles overnight on September 11.
The missiles were confirmed to have hit the target, causing a fire to break out on the facility’s grounds.

What does Volgogradpromproekt do
Volgogradpromproekt LLC is under US sanctions for its work with Russia’s military-industrial complex.
The company produces:
- ferrocene-containing combustion catalysts;
- technologies for producing chemical substances.
Fire Point said Ukrainian sanctions have proven to be the most effective, according to the company.
That same night, drones attacked the Azot chemical giant, part of Uralchem, in Berezniki, Perm region. The facility produces ammonia and nitric acid, which are used to manufacture explosives.
Earlier, Kaspiysk and Samara also came under attack. In Kaspiysk, drones reportedly struck the port, while residents of Samara reported explosions and air defense activity.
As RBC-Ukraine reported, drones also attacked Saratov. Following the strikes, an oil refinery and an Ozon marketplace warehouse caught fire in the city.
