Ukraine's energy system preserved, but 'there's still long way to go this winter,' Zelenskyy states
Ukraine has managed to preserve its energy system amid constant Russian attacks. However, our country still has a long way to go this winter, according to the evening address of the President of Ukraine Volodymyr Zelenskyy.
The head of the state notes that Russian terrorists attack Ukraine with missiles and drones every day and night. A significant portion is intercepted by Ukrainian air defense forces, but there are many hits.
"But it's already January 31. The situation in the energy sector differs fundamentally from last winter. The system has been preserved," Zelenskyy adds.
According to him, Ukrainians are provided with energy, and energy facilities are protected.
"We are reinforcing our sky shield. There is still a long way to go this winter, and there will be Russian terrorist attacks and the Russians will try to break our defense. We are aware of the threat," the president adds.
He also thanks all Ukrainian military personnel who defend the sky of our country on combat duty every day and night.
Russian missile strikes
This winter, Russian occupiers continued attempts to attack Ukraine's energy facilities. However, the enemy did not achieve its goal - emergency power outages were not introduced in the country, as was the case last winter.
