Ukraine's Unmanned Systems Forces have struck Russian targets worth nearly $40 billion during the year since their creation, President Volodymyr Zelenskyy said.

According to the president, Ukraine was the first country in the world to create Unmanned Systems Forces and continues to develop them to the fullest extent.

"It is Ukrainians who have proved that through technology, ingenuity, and courage, we can change the nature of warfare. We can achieve objectives that were previously either completely out of reach of conventional weapons or extremely difficult to achieve and required an enormous expenditure of resources. In just one year since the establishment of the USF Grouping, Russian targets of various levels worth nearly $40 billion have been struck," he said, declaring June 11 as the Day of the Unmanned Systems Forces.

Zelenskyy noted that these are different types of strikes, each of which gives Ukraine additional opportunities to save lives. The head of state also said that the Unmanned Systems Forces serve as a model for the armies of many countries around the world.

The president separately emphasized that the so-called mid-strikes carried out by the Unmanned Systems Forces in recent months have inflicted damage on the enemy's military logistics in the occupied territories, something that remains within the military's capabilities going forward.

"Our impact reaches Russia's border regions as well. The enemy feels it, and we will continue to expand it. We will continue strengthening the Unmanned System Forces. I thank you, warriors. And I thank all the units and all branches of Ukraine's Defense and Security Forces that, together, in close coordination, deliver exactly the kind of strikes that are needed," Zelenskyy stressed.

Russia's economic losses from the strikes

Russia suffered at least $2.3 billion in losses in its oil sector in a single month as a result of Ukrainian long-range strikes.

Last month, President Volodymyr Zelenskyy stated that in recent months the aggressor had lost 10% of its oil refining capacity due to Ukrainian drone strikes, which significantly affected the occupier's budget.

Russia loses tens of millions of dollars every day due to Ukrainian long-range strikes. All of this has led to the aggressor's economy being on the verge of stagnation, an economic phenomenon that indicates a slowdown in activity.
