Ukraine's drone attack on airfield in Siberia: Satellite image of aftermath emerges

Ukrainian drones struck the Belaya airfield in the Irkutsk region as part of the Operation Spiderweb. A satellite recorded the aftermath, according to Radio Svoboda.
As the news agency notes, the satellite image of the Belaya airfield shows that at least four Tu-22 bombers and three Tu-95 bombers were destroyed as a result of the attack. Another Tu-95 was likely damaged.
Overall, based on the satellite images, the news agency has verified the destruction of at least 11 Russian bombers.
Operation Spiderweb
On June 1, the Security Service of Ukraine (SBU) carried out a unique operation on Russian territory. As part of the operation, drones attacked a number of Russian airfields.
The General Staff of the Armed Forces of Ukraine confirmed today, June 3, that the attack resulted in the destruction of 41 Russian aircraft. Most of them were strategic bombers that Russia used to launch missiles at Ukraine’s civilian infrastructure.
The SBU had been planning this operation for a year and a half. The drones were launched directly from Russian territory.
Notably, Ukrainian drones attacked Siberia for the first time since the beginning of the war — a region they had not reached before.
More details about the Ukrainian operation can be found in the RBC-Ukraine report.
