Ukraine's Defense Minister announces personnel changes in Ground Forces

President Volodymyr Zelenskyy has carried out a series of personnel changes in the military leadership, this was announced by Defense Minister Rustem Umerov, according to a post on his Facebook page.
As Umerov clarified, Mykhailo Drapatyi, who previously headed the Ground Forces, has been appointed to a new position. He will now focus exclusively on combat-related matters in order to fully concentrate on the front.
"A new person will soon be appointed to the Ground Forces to concentrate exclusively on force generation — recruitment, mobilization, military training, and implementing new approaches in these areas to ensure the high-quality preparation of our fighters," Umerov wrote.

Today, President Zelenskyy announced that Mykhailo Drapatyi would be appointed as the Commander of the Joint Forces and will focus exclusively on the front line. Shortly before this, Drapatyi had shared details of his meeting with Zelenskyy, during which they discussed, among other things, the Russian strike on a training ground in the Dnipropetrovsk region.
Drapatyi submitted his resignation following the Russian strike on the 239th training ground.
