The southern front has become the site of another technological fiasco for the Russian units, reports the press service of the State Border Guard Service of Ukraine.
Strike drone pilots of the State Border Guard Service of Ukraine carried out a lightning-fast operation, leaving the enemy without logistics, eyes, and communication.
List of enemy losses
Thanks to the skill of UAV operators, during a single sortie, key nodes of the enemy’s defense and movement were struck:
- Water transport: An enemy boat, together with its crew, was sent to the bottom. In the icy February water, the occupiers’ chances of survival proved minimal.
- Technological weaponry: A ground robotic system was destroyed. Russia had attempted to use the robot for ground assaults, but the Ukrainian drone proved faster.
- Information blockade: Accurate strikes incinerated a communications antenna and a video surveillance camera. Now, in this sector, the enemy is disoriented and effectively blinded.
Why this matters
The destruction of communication and surveillance assets creates a gray zone for the enemy, allowing the Ukrainian Defense Forces to operate more covertly. Eliminating boats also paralyzes the adversary’s attempts to land sabotage groups on islands or the coastline.
“We are effectively reducing the enemy’s capabilities, demonstrating that there is nowhere to hide from our drones - neither on land nor on water,” the State Border Guard Service noted.
Earlier, in the Donetsk region, Ukrainian troops captured a mercenary wearing a Russian army uniform - it turned out he is a citizen of Senegal.
Also, near Lyman in the Donetsk region, Ukrainian defenders captured a citizen of Uganda.
Ukrainian Armed Forces eliminate Russian military targets
Units of the Unmanned Systems Forces of the Armed Forces of Ukraine recently destroyed a rare Russian electronic warfare system, the KOP-2. Only two drones were needed to strike the very expensive system.
Earlier, fighters of the Unmanned Systems Forces also hit the Russian electronic warfare station R-330Zh Zhitel. Its value is estimated at around $10 million.
In addition, near Lyman in the Donetsk region, Ukrainian troops destroyed an MLRS, several artillery pieces, and enemy vehicles.
