The Unmanned Systems Forces of the Armed Forces of Ukraine have destroyed a rare Russian electronic warfare system called KOP-2 (Detection and Suppression Complex-2). Only two drones were needed to destroy the very expensive system.

The Russian electronic warfare system was destroyed by operators of the 424th Svarog Battalion of the Armed Forces of Ukraine. The Russians are looking for an effective countermeasure to Ukrainian drones, so they are trying to use such systems.

"The KOP-2 scans the airwaves in a wide range, detects the frequency at which the drone operates, and tries to jam it with a powerful signal. This is an expensive and rare technique that the occupiers use to cover important objects, such as air defense installations," the statement says.

But in a real battle, the Russian KOP-2 did not survive the first meeting with the drone operators of Ukrainian units. Only two drones were needed to destroy the very expensive equipment: the first hit disabled the complex, and the second destroyed it.

On July 17, operators of the Unmanned Systems Forces practiced on an enemy anti-aircraft missile system (SAM) Strela-10 and its crew. As a result of the strike, the air defense system was destroyed.

The forces of unmanned systems make a great contribution to the destruction of the Russian occupiers in Ukraine. In June, according to the Chief Commander of the Armed Forces of Ukraine, General Oleksandr Syrskyi, the Armed Forces of Ukraine's Unmanned Systems Forces hit one-third of all destroyed Russian targets at the front, both equipment and Russian infantry.
