Ukraine's army chief comments on amount of aid to Ukraine from US and Europe

The assistance of international partners to Ukraine at the front is very important. However, the US support has now decreased, according to Oleksandr Syrskyi, the Commander-in-Chief of the Ukrainian Armed Forces.
"The support of our partners, of course, is crucial. Especially when the United States helped us," he said.
Now, according to the general, the assistance from the United States has decreased.
"And the main assistance comes from our partners in Europe," Syrskyi said.
United States and Europe aid to Ukraine
Both Europe and the United States have been helping Ukraine fight aggression since the beginning of Russia's large-scale invasion of Ukraine. European countries are constantly expressing support.
For example, in mid-March, the EU proposed to create a fund to send military aid to Ukraine in the amount of 20 to 40 billion euros. The fund would operate on a voluntary basis to avoid a veto by Hungary.
At the same time, Europe recognizes that it is unlikely that Europe will be able to completely replace the US aid to Ukraine. There are critical supplies for which Europe has no replacement.
The situation with US support changed after Donald Trump became president. In early March, Trump decided to pause the provision of American aid to Ukraine. This is the aid that his predecessor, Joe Biden, had ordered to be allocated.
