Ukraine's 3rd Separate Assault Brigade faces 80 Russian attacks in two weeks in Kharkiv region

Over the past two weeks, Russian troops carried out about 80 attacks on the positions of the 3rd Separate Assault Brigade in the Kharkiv region. Despite the pressure, Ukrainian forces are successfully holding the line, the press service of the 3rd Separate Assault Brigade reports.
"Over two weeks, the occupiers attacked the brigade's lines 80 times with active support from artillery, airstrikes, attack drones, and aerial munitions. The enemy is increasingly using fiber-optic FPV drones," the Ukrainian military stated.
According to them, to break through, the enemy, comprising forces from two Russian armies, has been unsuccessfully employing small infantry group tactics.
"For refusing to go into a suicidal fight, enemy personnel are threatened with execution by their own command," the 3rd Separate Assault Brigade noted.
However, the Ukrainian military said that despite the high level of combat activity, the enemy has been unable to advance due to the brigade's well-established and effective defense system.
"The enemy continues to suffer significant personnel losses - both killed and wounded," the 3rd Separate Assault Brigade added.

Since the beginning of the day, May 17, more than 80 combat clashes took place along the frontline.

In addition, Ukrainian forces recently destroyed a Russian Buk-M1 surface-to-air missile system during a frontline operation.
Earlier, Ukrainian troops also struck a Russian Osa surface-to-air missile system in the Vuhledar direction.
