Ukraine reveals how its F-16s perform with limited ammunition

Ukrainian pilots are effectively using F-16 fighter jets even with limited ammunition. The Air Force Command has revealed the results of its combat use and prospects for further enhancing its capabilities.
F-16s effectively use available weapons
A delegation from the Ukrainian Air Force, led by its commander, Lieutenant General Anatolii Kryvonozhko, held a meeting with representatives of the US company Lockheed Martin.
Conor McGuire, head of F-16 capability development, praised the operation and combat use of the fighter jets by Ukrainian pilots and ground aviation personnel. He also expressed an intention to help Ukraine expand the capabilities of the existing platform.
According to the Air Force commander, during the war, Ukrainian F-16 crews have achieved significant results in destroying aerial targets and striking enemy facilities.
More than 3,150 targets downed
"Our pilots are using the available F-16s as effectively as possible with a limited supply of ammunition. Using various types of weapons, Ukrainian F-16 pilots have already downed more than 3,150 aerial targets: 666 cruise missiles and about 2,500 unmanned aerial vehicles of various types, and carried out more than 6 Kryvonozhko.
During the meeting, the sides discussed the prospect of transitioning the Air Force's aviation to newer Fighting Falcon variants. In particular, they discussed F-16 Block 70/72 aircraft.
On July 29, while carrying out a combat mission to intercept enemy aerial targets, contact was lost with an F-16 fighter jet, but the pilot managed to eject.
