Lithuania continues its efforts to facilitate Ukraine's difficult struggle against a brutal aggressor. On Friday, February 9, another package of military aid arrived in Ukraine, according to the press service of the Lithuanian Ministry of Defense.

This time, the Lithuanian Armed Forces brought and handed over to the Ukrainian military the equipment necessary for the winter season and tens of thousands of sets of warm clothing.

"We are supplying gear and clothes to tens of thousands of Ukrainian fighters to keep them protected from cold weather conditions while positioned in field conditions. Every package we contribute is also one more step closer to victory," says Lithuanian Defense Minister Arvydas Anusauskas.

Lithuania's assistance to Ukraine

Lithuania has been one of Ukraine's most active allies since the beginning of the full-scale Russian invasion. It provides military assistance to our defenders and supports our country's membership in the European Union and NATO.

In January, Lithuania approved a package of long-term assistance to Ukraine worth 200 million euros. This was announced by President Gitanas Nausėda during his visit to Kyiv.

Also, Lithuanian Prime Minister Ingrida Simonite recently called on the European Union to increase assistance to Ukraine to defeat Russia.
