The document secures a new long-term framework of cooperation between the two countries, covering security, defense, economy, science, technology, and cultural ties, according to the Verkhovna Rada of Ukraine.

The Verkhovna Rada of Ukraine ratified the Agreement on a century-long partnership with the United Kingdom of Great Britain and Northern Ireland (reg. No. 0332).

Special attention in the agreement is given to the defense direction. The United Kingdom undertakes to provide Ukraine with military aid annually in the amount of at least £3.6 billion until the financial year 2030/31. After that, as needed.

The support package includes:

  • Training of Ukrainian military personnel;

  • Support for pilots and supply of military aviation;

  • Joint production of defense products;

  • Involvement in formats of joint expeditionary interaction, such as the Joint Expeditionary Force.

Recall that on January 16, Ukraine and the United Kingdom signed an agreement on a 100-year partnership. It is assumed that it will actually remain in force for the next 100 years, if neither side wishes to withdraw from it.

Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky then stated that the century-long agreement with Britain has a secret part. Which will add resilience to Ukraine and the opportunity to develop.

Earlier, RBC-Ukraine wrote that the United Kingdom will sign an agreement with Ukraine on joint development and production of advanced military equipment. The agreement provides for the exchange of technologies, which will create jobs in Britain and strengthen the national security of both countries.
