Ukraine plans business inspection freeze with key exceptions - PM Svyrydenko

Ukraine plans to introduce a moratorium on business inspections. However, checks on dishonest businesses will continue. This was announced by Prime Minister of Ukraine Yulia Svyrydenko during a conversation with journalists.
"As for the moratorium on inspections – we will implement this decision, specifically a moratorium on inspections by law enforcement agencies," the Prime Minister emphasized.
Svyrydenko noted that inspections have always been a major issue for Ukrainian entrepreneurs. She said the government is now working with the Prosecutor General's Office to conduct "a thorough review of business-related cases."
"It's very important for us that any case related to business activity is opened only with the authorization of a prosecutor — possibly a regional or district prosecutor," the Prime Minister said.
She clarified that the initiation of a case can block the operations of a Ukrainian enterprise. To address this problem, Prosecutor General Ruslan Kravchenko has been tasked with preparing a set of measures.
"At the same time, inspections of dishonest businesses will continue," Svyrydenko assured.
Business inspection moratorium
On June 27, President of Ukraine Volodymyr Zelenskyy instructed the government to introduce a moratorium on business inspections.
He emphasized that such a decision would help "protect businesses from any pressure and from unscrupulous individuals in various positions."
