Andrii Kovalenko, Head of the Center for Countering Disinformation under Ukraine's National Security and Defense Council, has commented on the US Embassy's warning about a possible missile threat from Russia. This warning is fully justified, given Russia's months-long accumulation of missile stockpiles.

"Russians have been stockpiling missiles for a series of strikes on Ukraine over several months. This includes Kh-101 missiles, which they continue to produce, as well as Kalibr and ballistic missiles," Kovalenko noted.

The Head of the Center for Countering Disinformation also explained that Russia's aviation and missile reserves at strategic airfields and depots are in a state of readiness. In addition, naval vessels could be involved in potential air strikes.

"Accordingly, this must be understood and kept in mind. Authorities need to plan security measures, and citizens should respond promptly to air raid alerts," Kovalenko emphasized.

US Embassy warning

The US Embassy in Kyiv issued a warning about an airstrike threat to Ukraine on November 20. As a precaution, the embassy will close, and staff were advised to stay in shelters.

Earlier, Russian forces launched 87 drones, including Shaheds and other unidentified UAVs, to attack Ukraine. The launches originated from the Kursk and Orel regions, as well as temporarily occupied Crimea. Ukrainian air defense forces destroyed 51 drones, while another 30 enemy UAVs were lost locally in the various regions.
