US Embassy warns of 'potential significant air attack' on Ukraine
The US Embassy in Kyiv has received specific information about a potential significant air attack. As a precaution, the embassy will close, and its employees have been advised to shelter in place, the press service of the US Embassy in Ukraine reports.
The embassy has urged US citizens in Ukraine to prepare for immediate action in the event of an air raid alert.
Recommendations for US citizens:
- monitor updates from local media;
- identify the nearest shelters in advance;
- proceed to a shelter immediately if an air raid alert is announced;
- follow instructions from local authorities and emergency services.
Attack on Ukraine on November 19
On the night of November 19, air raid alerts sounded twice in Kyiv due to enemy drone attacks.
Across Ukraine, the enemy launched a total of 87 drones, including Shahed drones and others of unknown types. The attacks originated from the Kursk and Orel regions, as well as temporarily occupied Crimea.
Ukrainian air defense forces destroyed 51 drones, while another 30 enemy UAVs were lost locally in various regions.
