Ukraine may produce anti-tank weapons, says Prime Minister
Ukraine has significantly increased its weapons production. Currently, there are projects to produce anti-tank weapons in the country, stated Ukrainian Prime Minister Denys Shmyhal at the German-Ukrainian Business Forum.
According to Shmyhal, the capacity of Ukraine's defense industry will reach approximately $30 billion by 2025. Additionally, there are already a substantial number of enterprises in the defense sector, many of which have been established in collaboration with Germany.
"We are talking about joint projects for the repair and maintenance of armored vehicles and tanks, the production of modern infantry fighting vehicles, air defense systems, and missiles for them. We also have projects to produce anti-tank grenade launchers and anti-tank mines in Ukraine," Shmyhal said.
The Prime Minister emphasized that this sector has enormous potential. Currently, Ukraine's defense industry consists of 800 enterprises employing more than 300,000 workers. This provides the capability to produce a wide range of weaponry, contributing to Ukraine's security.
