General Staff confirms loss of F-16, causes under investigation
The F-16 fighter jets of the Ukrainian Armed Forces were engaged in repelling the Russian attack on August 26. During the approach to the next target, communication with one of the aircraft was lost.
It was later discovered that the aircraft had crashed, and the pilot was killed.
Russia forms new brigade to support its military in Kharkiv region
Russia has begun forming a new brigade to support its Sever group operating in the Kharkiv region, according to Vitalii Sarantsev, a spokesperson for the Kharkiv operational and tactical group of troops.
The formation of a new volunteer brigade called Bars began following the order of the Minister of Defense of Russia.
Borrell calls for no restrictions on Ukraine's use of weapons to strike Russia
The EU's top diplomat, Josep Borrell, urges partner countries not to limit Ukraine in its use of provided weaponry. This includes strikes against Russia.
Borrell made the statement while welcoming Ukraine's Foreign Minister Dmytro Kuleba in Brussels at an informal meeting of EU foreign ministers.
