Ukraine is ready to join European drone wall project - Prime Minister

Ukraine is ready to participate in the European defense project to create a drone wall, which is intended to protect Europe from the threat of Russian attack drones, according to a post by Ukraine’s Defense Minister, Denys Shmyhal.
"We are already eager and able to play an active role in protecting Europe from the Russian drone threat," the minister assured.
According to Shmyhal, during the project discussion at the September 26 meeting, the parties focused on concrete steps to implement the plan. The drone wall is expected to create a "fundamentally new defense ecosystem in Europe," and Ukraine is ready to become part of it.
"We hope to sign a joint declaration with our partners as early as October. On our side, we are already ready to deploy technical teams to prepare groups that will become part of the drone wall," Shmyhal noted.
Ukraine’s contribution will include its experience in shooting down Russian drones and the involvement of Ukrainian drone manufacturers, as Ukrainian developments are currently among the best in the world.
"The aggressor has already carried out deliberate provocations against Denmark, Poland, and the Baltic countries. The EU must be ready to respond decisively to such escalation. And Ukraine’s role here is key," the minister concluded.

The September 26 meeting was originally planned to include only seven EU border countries — Finland, Estonia, Latvia, Lithuania, Poland, Romania, and Bulgaria. Representatives from NATO and Ukraine were also present.
Unexpectedly, Slovakia decided to join the initial discussion on the drone wall. On September 26, it became known that Hungary also participated in the discussion. Both countries had previously not been expected to be allowed into the project due to their pro-Russian stance.
