Ukraine initiates talks on security commitments with another NATO country
Ukraine and Spain have started negotiations to conclude a bilateral agreement on security commitments, according to the Office of the President of Ukraine.
According to the information, on the instructions of President of Ukraine Volodymyr Zelenskyy and Head of the Presidential Office Andriy Yermak, Deputy Head of the Office Ihor Zhovkva has initiated negotiations on security commitments for Ukraine with Spain.
During the dialogue, the parties discussed the structure of the future agreement and agreed on the schedule for further negotiations.
Security commitments for Ukraine
Ukraine continues negotiations to conclude bilateral agreements on security commitments with Western countries.
Such agreements, in particular, involve the transfer of weaponry to Ukraine, as well as providing assistance in training soldiers and more.
Ukraine has already signed similar documents with several countries.
For example, on March 1, President of Ukraine Volodymyr Zelenskyy and Prime Minister of the Netherlands Mark Rutte signed a bilateral security agreement between Kyiv and Amsterdam.
