Ukrainian 147th Separate Artillery Brigade has halted a group of Russian military in Ukraine's northwest Pokrovsk industrial area, according to the 7th Rapid Response Corps Air Assault Forces.

The Ukrainian forces first struck the enemy with attack drones, followed by 155 mm artillery fire.

"We hit three occupiers with drones first, then followed up with 155 mm artillery," the 147th Artillery Brigade said.

The strike resulted in three Russian soldiers being wounded. The enemy did not evacuate their casualties.

Pokrovsk situation

Russian forces are continuing their attempts to capture the Pokrovsk settlement in Ukraine's Donetsk region, focusing on advancing into the northern districts currently held by the Ukrainian Defense Forces.

Earlier, Ukrainian Armed Forces Commander-in-Chief Oleksandr Syrskyi reported that the Russian army sent additional reserves to the Pokrovsk direction.

Military and analysts say the enemy is combining periodic large-scale assaults with covert advances by small infantry groups, aiming to wear down Ukraine's defenses.

At the same time, the Institute for the Study of War (ISW) notes that Ukrainian units have achieved tactical successes along the Kupiansk and Pokrovsk directions.

Amid this, Russia has stepped up a disinformation campaign seeking to shift responsibility for its own war crimes in Pokrovsk onto Ukraine.

Analysts say the Kremlin is using a familiar propaganda toolkit: a fabricated "tribunal" with no international or legal authority, statements from Russian regime officials, and a total lack of independent evidence.
