Ukraine's First Deputy Foreign Minister Sergiy Kyslytsya called the start of negotiations in the US successful.

"It's been a good start to the ongoing meeting. Very engaging and so far constructive. Warm atmosphere, conducive to a potential progressive outcome. Great leadership," he said.

Kyslytsya added that, as in Geneva, he values the approach of US Secretary of State Marco Rubio and also appreciates how Jared Kushner, Trump's son-in-law, presents his vision.

Negotiations in the US

On November 29, the Ukrainian delegation traveled to the United States to continue discussions on the peace plan. It includes Secretary of the National Security and Defense Council Rustem Umerov and First Deputy Minister of Foreign Affairs Sergiy Kyslytsya.

They are meeting with US Special Envoy Steve Witkoff, US Secretary of State Marco Rubio, and Trump's son-in-law Jared Kushner.

The United States aims to resolve two key issues of the peace plan with Ukraine today, November 30, specifically territorial issues and security guarantees.

Before meeting the Ukrainian delegation, US Secretary of State Mark Rubio outlined the goals of the peace plan, emphasizing that it concerns not only ending the war but also securing Ukraine's sovereignty and prosperity.

Earlier, Ukrainian President Zelenskyy said the Ukrainian delegation would include the Chief of the General Staff of the Ukrainian Armed Forces, intelligence officials, the National Security and Defense Council, and officials from the Ministry of Foreign Affairs. The delegation was previously headed by Andriy Yermak, who has since resigned.

On the morning of November 28, Ukraine's National Anti-Corruption Bureau (NABU) and Specialized Anti-Corruption Prosecutor's Office (SAP) conducted searches at the former head of the Presidential Office, Andriy Yermak. No charges were announced, but Yermak submitted his resignation later that evening.

President Zelenskyy accepted Yermak's resignation and said consultations would begin to appoint a new head of the Presidential Office.
