During the night of July 8, Russia attacked Ukraine with anti-radiation and ballistic missiles, as well as attack drones and decoy drones. The number of targets neutralized has now been confirmed, according to the Ukrainian Air Force.

The new enemy air attack began at 6:00 p.m. on July 7.

This time, Russia used:

  • 2 Kh-31P anti-radiation missiles;

  • 5 Iskander-M/S-400 ballistic missiles;

  • 169 attack drones and decoy drones, including Shahed, Gerbera, Italmas, and Parodiya.

Enemy drones and missiles were launched from the Black Sea, the temporarily occupied Autonomous Republic of Crimea, Bryansk region, Oryol, Primorsko-Akhtarsk, Millerovo, the temporarily occupied Donetsk region, and Hvardiiske.

The following forces were involved in repelling the air attack:

  • Aviation;

  • Anti-aircraft missile troops;

  • Electronic warfare units;

  • Unmanned systems units;

  • Mobile fire groups of the Ukrainian Defense Forces.

According to preliminary data, as of 8:00 a.m., Ukrainian air defenses had neutralized 139 Russian drones of various types, including Shahed, Gerbera, and Italmas. They were intercepted in northern, southern, and eastern Ukraine.

At the same time, the following were recorded:

  • 5 Iskander-M/S-400 ballistic missiles hit targets at 4 locations;

  • 20 attack drones hit targets at 11 locations;

  • Debris from intercepted aerial targets fell at 7 additional locations.

In addition, 2 Kh-31P anti-radiation missiles failed to reach their targets.

The Ukrainian Air Force added that the attack is ongoing, with enemy drones remaining in Ukrainian airspace.

The aftermath of Russia's overnight strike on Kyiv on July 8 was reported earlier.

The enemy also attempted to attack the Ukrainian capital with drones twice.

Meanwhile, Russia struck Zaporizhzhia again, injuring civilians.
