Ukrainian government resources are targeted by approximately 100,000 cyberattacks each month, stated Minister of Digital Transformation Mykhailo Fedorov.

"Believe me, the scale of cyberattacks is incredible. We are facing 100,000 attacks every month. The state is handling this challenge with dignity," said Fedorov.

He noted that every employee at the Digital Ministry has AI-powered software installed on their laptops that monitors behavior.

"If any anomalies are detected, the system reacts immediately. That's how we've already identified several viruses that even antivirus programs missed," the minister explained.

Fedorov emphasized that the speed of response to hacker attacks on state web resources is critically important. He announced that the ministry had secured support from a "major donor" to fund cybersecurity tenders for both public and private institutions.

Previously, media reported that the United States had scaled back efforts to assist Ukraine in cybersecurity, which was important in countering Russian hacker attacks.

This assistance was considered critical to help Ukraine prevent cyberattacks on government officials, telecommunications companies and energy suppliers, as well as in recovery efforts.

Kyiv-based cybersecurity expert Yehor Aushev warned that reducing USassistance would weaken Ukraine's "digital frontlines," making the country a "soft target" for Russia.
