Ukraine expects IMF tranche by year-end - Key conditions nearly met
Ukraine may receive the next tranche from the International Monetary Fund by the end of the year, amounting to $1.1 billion, said Minister of Finance of Ukraine Sergii Marchenko during a press conference.
He noted that Ukraine had to meet several preliminary conditions to secure the tranche:
- Enactment of the 2025 state budget law.
- Adoption of amendments to the tax code.
"This is an important element in our negotiations. The IMF program serves as our umbrella, ensuring support from partners. I hope these steps will allow us to receive the next tranche by the end of the year," Marchenko emphasized.
