Ukraine expands forced evacuation area in the Kharkiv region

The evacuation zone for civilians in the Kupiansk district of Ukraine's Kharkiv region has been expanded, according to the Kharkiv Regional Military Administration.
According to reports, the decision was discussed during a meeting of the Kharkiv Region Defense Council, which included military officials, emergency services, law enforcement representatives, and district leaders.
Due to the security situation in the Kupiansk district, the council decided to enforce the mandatory evacuation of civilians from seven settlements in the Shevchenkove community. These villages are: Baranivka, Berezivka, Novomykolaivka, Spodobivka, Starovirivka, Duvanka, and Fedorivka.
"In total, we plan to evacuate 181 children from the seven settlements to safe locations. All evacuees will receive temporary housing, assistance in obtaining internally displaced person (IDP) status, access to social benefits, and humanitarian aid. Initial support will be provided at the transit center in Kharkiv," said Oleh Syniehubov, head of the Kharkiv Regional Military Administration.
