The Ukrainian Defense Forces have neutralized over 260,000 Russian aircraft- and helicopter-type drones since the beginning of 2026, according to the Ukrainian Ministry of Defense.

The number of Russian drones neutralized on the front lines demonstrates the decisive role of technology in modern warfare. Effective countermeasures against drones save the lives of Ukrainian servicemen and civilians.

Since the beginning of the year, approximately 195,000 Russian fixed-wing drones and 66,000 copter-type drones have been destroyed. Specifically, 40,438 Russian fixed-wing drones were destroyed in July, whereas at the end of May, this figure stood at only 27,711 drones.

An increase in the number of downed drones was also recorded in the copter-type drone segment: the number of verified kills rose from 14,071 at the end of June to 19,945 units in July.

All hits on Russian drones have been confirmed in the DELTA system, which serves as the digital core for managing the modern battlefield and is one of the technological solutions key to Ukraine's advantage over Russia.

The Ukrainian military demonstrated the Barracuda in action for the first time; together with other unmanned systems, it attacked the positions of Russian troops.

Ukraine is also developing a new system for maritime drones that will enable it to both destroy Russian targets and intercept sanctioned ships in the Black Sea, after which they will be escorted to port for confiscation.
