Ukraine delivers humanitarian aid to Palestine in form of one thousand tons of flour
Ukraine has delivered one thousand tons of flour to Palestine as humanitarian aid amid the Israel-Hamas conflict, according to the Ukrainian Ministry of Foreign Affairs on Telegram.
"The humanitarian aid recently sent by Ukraine to Palestine has already been delivered to Gaza," states the Ministry of Foreign Affairs.
The Ministry clarified that out of the one thousand tons of flour sent as part of the Grain from Ukraine program, bread has already been baked and is being distributed to local families.
"This will be enough to feed 100,000 people for a month," the Ukrainian ministry reported.
Additionally, it was mentioned that plans are in place to deliver another 6,000 tons of humanitarian aid to Palestine in the near future.
What preceded
The situation in Palestine sharply deteriorated after the outbreak of war between Israel and the terrorist group Hamas. Fighting is concentrated in the Gaza Strip.
According to international organizations, as of January this year, over 25,000 Palestinian civilians have been killed as a result of the hostilities.
Media reports indicate that the new Hamas leader, Yahya Sinwar, has sent a message to Israel expressing a desire to negotiate a ceasefire.
