The Ukrainian delegation has already left for the US to negotiate a peace plan. European partners may attend the meeting, Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy says in response to journalists' questions.

"There are several questions about Donbas, about our position. I have already spoken about this several times. We all know Russia's position. They want to seize the whole of Donbas, and now they want us to leave Donbas. That was their position, it is open," Zelenskyy says.

The President notes that Ukraine is not ready to take the necessary steps, so the US is looking for a compromise.

"Regarding the discussion of this plan, 20 points, security guarantees, a reconstruction agreement—all documents, all possible steps—the teams will now meet. Friday-Saturday. Our team will be in the US. They are already on their way to the US. The Americans are waiting for them. I don't know who else might be present. Maybe there will be Europeans," he says.

Ukraine-US talks

Ukrainian and American officials met in Berlin recently. US Special Representative Steve Witkoff, who participated in the discussions, said that significant progress had been made.

After the meeting in Berlin, Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy notes that the positions of Kyiv and Washington on the issue of territories still differ.

At the same time, Axios, citing an unnamed US official, wrote that a new round of negotiations between Ukraine and the US is to take place in Miami this weekend. Military officials are expected to participate in the discussions.

US and Russian officials may meet in Miami this weekend to discuss the possibility of ending Russia's war against Ukraine.
