Ukrainian forces have carried out a powerful strike against the operational rear of Russian troops in the Donetsk region. The coordinated attack destroyed key logistics infrastructure used by Russian forces to support offensive operations, reports Raid, the 413th Separate Regiment of the Unmanned Systems Forces (USF).

Details of large-scale strike

Operators of the 413th USF Regiment Raid implemented a successful operation, destroying several Russian military facilities.

According to the unit, the strikes targeted locations situated at key railway and road junctions that served as major logistics hubs for the accumulation of Russian personnel and supplies.

Targets successfully hit by Ukrainian forces included:

  • A logistics and materiel support depot used by Russia's 36th Motor Rifle Brigade and other units of the 29th Army near the settlements of Buhas and Novoselivka.
  • A logistics and materiel support depot belonging to Russia's 51st Army (former 1st Army Corps in Donetsk) near the town of Dokuchaievsk.
  • Logistics depots and a temporary deployment site of the 2nd Battalion of the 155th Brigade, 55th Marine Division of Russia's Pacific Fleet, near the settlement of Syhnalne.

The military also highlighted the operation geography, demonstrating the ability to strike targets deep in the rear.

"Some of these strikes were carried out in parts of Donbas that have been occupied by Russia since 2014," the unit emphasized.

Previous USF operations

Recently, Ukraine's Unmanned Systems Forces have conducted a series of successful deep-rear operations. In particular, the USF, together with other elements of the Defense Forces, disrupted the Russians' R-280 logistics route in the south.

During that operation, troops from the 412th Nemesis Brigade of the USF used classified strike-wing drones to sever the key Russian route linking Mariupol, Melitopol, and Simferopol, while also targeting enemy vehicles and supply convoys.

In addition, on the night of May 30, USF units carried out massive strikes against 23 military and logistics facilities in the Russian operational rear.

During what Ukrainian forces described as an "explosive night" in Russia and occupied Crimea, drones struck elements of Russia's oil logistics network, including a tanker from the Russian shadow fleet, an oil depot in Taganrog, and a marine oil terminal in Feodosia.

As part of the same large-scale overnight operation, pilots of the Unmanned Systems Forces, working alongside other units, struck a training ground used by a Russian brigade linked to atrocities committed in Ukraine's Bucha.

The strikes were carried out at distances of 70 to 100 kilometers from the front line, resulting in 21 confirmed hits on military camps and logistics facilities used by several Russian armies.
