Ukraine comes under another mass drone attack: Air defenses shoot down 82 UAVs

Russia launched another overnight aerial attack on Ukraine on June 29, deploying 108 drones of various types, according to the Ukrainian Air Force.
How the attack unfolded
The attack began at 6:00 p.m. on June 28. Russia used Shahed, Gerbera, and Italmas attack drones, as well as Parodiya decoy drones.
The drones were launched from several directions:

Bryansk, Kursk, Oryol, Millerovo, and Primorsko-Akhtarsk in Russia;

The temporarily occupied part of the Donetsk region;

Chauda and Hvardiiske in occupied Crimea.
How air defenses responded
The aerial attack was repelled by aviation, anti-aircraft missile units, electronic warfare units, unmanned systems units, and mobile fire groups of Ukraine's Defense Forces.
As of 8:00 a.m., 82 enemy drones had been shot down or suppressed in the north, south, and east of the country.
The Air Force reported:

Hits by 25 attack drones at 11 locations;

Debris from intercepted drones falling at four locations.
"The attack is ongoing. Several enemy UAVs remain in the airspace. Please follow safety rules," the Air Force warned.
Russian attacks on Ukraine
On the night of June 28, Russian forces attacked Ukraine with two Zircon/Onyx anti-ship missiles launched from Russia's Kursk region and six Iskander-M/S-400 ballistic missiles launched from the Bryansk region.
Later that day, at around 6:35 p.m., Russian forces struck vacationers in the Chuhuiv district of the Kharkiv region with a Tornado-S multiple launch rocket system.
A 54-year-old woman was killed, and eight people were injured, including a 10-year-old girl and a 16-year-old teenager.
A massive airstrike on Zaporizhzhia also claimed lives, with more than a dozen civilians injured. Rescue workers searched for people trapped beneath the rubble of destroyed buildings.
