Russian forces launched a missile strike on the Zmiiv community in the Chuhuiv district of Kharkiv region in Ukraine. A 55-year-old woman was killed, and eight other people were injured, according to Kharkiv Regional Military Administration head Oleh Syniehubov.

Updated data say the injured include women aged 32 and 53, and men aged 28, 41, 26, and 50. A 10-year-old girl and a 16-year-old boy also suffered blast injuries.

All of the injured are receiving medical assistance. Emergency services are working at the strike site, and efforts to deal with the aftermath of the attack are ongoing.

"Unfortunately, a 55-year-old woman was killed. My sincere condolences to her family," Syniehubov said.

Meanwhile, Russian forces regularly attack the Kharkiv region. On the night of June 9, the region came under a massive missile and drone attack, with five people killed in Chuhuiv, including a 22-year-old pregnant woman.

On June 15, five first responders from the State Emergency Service of Ukraine were killed in a repeated strike on Kharkiv while responding to the aftermath of an earlier attack.
