Ukraine calls on Europe for urgent help after Russian strikes on energy sites

Last night, Russia carried out a severe attack on Ukraine's energy facilities in two regions. The Ministry of Foreign Affairs called on partners for urgent additional assistance, according to Ukraine's Foreign Minister Andrii Sybiha.
As Sybiha noted, while the Russian President Vladimir Putin pretends to be ready for diplomacy and peace talks, last night, Russia carried out a brutal missile and drone attack on the Chernihiv and Sumy regions.
According to the Foreign Minister, the energy infrastructure again suffered heavy strikes. Many communities were left without electricity amid cold autumn temperatures, and some were left without water.
"While our energy response teams are working to restore power, I once again call on all of our partners in Europe and beyond to urgently mobilize additional assistance for Ukraine's resilience: from energy equipment to energy sources and air defense capabilities,'' the minister stated.
Strikes on energy facilities in the Chernihiv region
Last night, Chernihiv and the region suffered the most massive attack by Russia to date. In just one day, the enemy attacked the region with 51 aerial targets. Two ballistic missiles and 49 Shahed-type drones were recorded.
The Ministry of Energy reported that emergency repair crews in the Chernihiv region are unable to begin work due to continuous attacks by Russian drones.
The Russians deliberately launch drones that constantly circle over damaged facilities, making it impossible to carry out repairs safely.
The Ministry of Energy described these actions as deliberate terrorism, emphasizing that the affected facilities have no military significance.
