Russia massively strikes Ukraine's Chernihiv and region, cutting off electricity and water supply

Russia launched a massive combined strike on the northern region of Ukraine. Hits on energy facilities have been reported there.

According to the Chernihiv regional military administration, Russia attacked the region with 51 drones and missiles over the past day. 2 ballistic missiles and 49 Shahed-type drones were recorded.
Last night, an air raid alert was declared twice in the region due to the threat of a Russian ballistic missile strike.
Consequences
As of 8:30 a.m. Kyiv time, 2 Shahed strikes are reported: on a heating facility and an energy facility in two communities in the Chernihiv district. As a result, the power supply in Chernihiv and the northern communities of the region has been cut off. Energy workers are currently working on restoration.
According to the regional military administration, critical infrastructure has been switched to generators. Some emergency shelters have also been set up.
"If it takes longer to restore power, more shelters will be set up," the authorities said.
At the same time, Chernihivvodokanal public utility company reported that the city also has no water supply.
"We are making every effort to ensure that water is supplied at a pressure sufficient for the lower floors of multi-story buildings. We ask you to stock up on water in advance," the company said.
Slavutych
Yesterday evening, the city of Slavutych, which is located in the Chernihiv region but legally belongs to the Kyiv region, was plunged into darkness. According to Mayor Yurii Fomichev, an energy facility was hit.
