Ukraine awaits certain decisions from its allies: Zelenskyy on air defense deliveries President of Ukraine Volodymyr Zelenskyy (Vitalii Nosach, RBC-Ukraine)

Ukraine is doing everything it can to acquire more air defense systems before winter. Currently, the country is awaiting certain decisions from its partners, according to President of Ukraine Volodymyr Zelenskyy.

"We are doing everything to provide Ukraine with more air defense systems before winter," the statement said.

According to the president, Ukraine is currently expecting certain decisions from its partners.

"But all the work in the regions related to the physical protection of critical facilities and urgent reconstruction must be completed as quickly as possible before winter," Zelenskyy added.

Russian attacks on Ukraine's critical infrastructure

Russia targeted Ukraine's energy infrastructure last year, resulting in power outages and even heating shortages during the winter period.

This year, Ukraine is implementing a multi-level protection system for energy facilities.

Commander of the Joint Forces of the Armed Forces of Ukraine, Serhii Naiev, stated that measures were being taken in the northern part of Ukraine to improve the effectiveness of the air defense system.

Zelenskyy also mentioned that the difficulties faced by Ukrainian defenders during the counteroffensive were connected to a lack of sufficient ammunition and air defense systems.
