Ukraine has been authorized to purchase weapons, ammunition, and equipment through a NATO procurement agency that helps Alliance countries make military purchases faster and more cost-effectively, according to Financial Times.

The NATO Support and Procurement Agency (NSPA) manages contracts, conducts joint procurement, and organizes logistics.

"It provides Ukraine with the ability to have a more structured framework to leverage a broad range of capabilities that we offer: procurement expertise, support services and access to established industrial base," NSPA director of support to operations Jacqueline Borsboom tells the Financial Times.

Reuters adds that Ukraine is gaining access to the NSPA amid deteriorating relations with the US.

The Washington Post reports that the administration of US President Donald Trump did not approve the transfer of Patriot interceptor missiles to Ukraine.

According to the agency's sources, Pentagon chief Pete Hegseth did not officially reject the request, but he also did not take steps to approve it.

The European Union is seeking an additional 70 billion euros for Ukraine for 2027.

The previously agreed-upon loan no longer covers the country's needs, as Russia has intensified its attacks.
