Secretary of the National Security and Defense Council of Ukraine Rustem Umerov announced a new round of talks with US officials in Miami.
According to Umerov, he will not attend the meeting alone. He will be joined by the Chief of the General Staff of the Armed Forces of Ukraine, General Andrii Hnatov.
"Third day of work in the United States. Today, together with Lieutenant General Andrii Hnatov, we will have another meeting with the American side. We are working constructively and substantively. We expect further progress and practical results," he said.
The previous round of talks in Miami took place on December 19. In addition to US and Ukrainian representatives, European partners were also present.
Ahead of the negotiations, Zelenskyy announced that the meeting would discuss the US 20-point peace plan, security guarantees, and an agreement for Ukraine's reconstruction.
After the meeting, Umerov said that Ukraine and the US agreed on further steps and will continue joint work in the near future.
Amid the Ukraine-US negotiations, Putin's envoy Kirill Dmitriev flew to Miami to meet with US Special Envoy Steve Witkoff and Trump's son-in-law Jared Kushner. The topic remains the same — the peace plan to end the war.
