President Volodymyr Zelenskyy said that Ukraine and Türkiye had discussed and were exploring the possibility of cooperation in the field of satellite technology, according to an interview the Ukrainian president gave to CNN Türk.
Following Zelenskyy's visit and official meetings in Türkiye, the president was asked whether joint production or technology development with Türkiye, particularly in the field of satellite technology, was being considered.
"We will work in this area as well. This issue has also been discussed and considered. You will agree that this is no easy matter," he replied.
Zelenskyy also stressed the importance of developing own technologies, saying this was essential for the security of both countries.
"Security is of great importance to both countries. Without our own developments and technologies, including in the space sector, it is difficult for us to move forward," the president concluded.
On November 1, Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy met with Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdoğan.
Following the meeting, the Ukrainian leader announced that Ukraine was preparing for diplomatic talks in a trilateral format in the first half of November and was considering the possibility of involving Türkiye in the dialogue.
Zelenskyy also said he was ready to meet Russian President Vladimir Putin in person in Türkiye. He hopes Erdoğan will help facilitate the meeting, whose main goal would be to achieve a ceasefire along the entire front line.
