Ukraine-Russia talks on June 2

Today, June 2, the second round of negotiations between the Ukrainian and Russian delegations is taking place in Istanbul. It is expected that the Russian representatives will arrive with a so-called "memorandum" outlining their vision for the terms of a ceasefire.

The day before, on June 1, Zelenskyy approved the composition of the Ukrainian delegation. As in the previous round, it is led by Defense Minister Rustem Umerov.

Before the negotiations with the Russian side began, the Ukrainian delegation held meetings with representatives from Germany, Italy, and the United Kingdom.
