Ukrainian delegation in Istanbul meets with European allies

Members of the Ukrainian delegation met with representatives of Germany, Italy, and the United Kingdom on the eve of negotiations with the Russian side in Istanbul, according to the spokesperson for the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, Heorhii Tykhyi.
According to Tykhyi, First Deputy Foreign Minister Sergiy Kyslytsya and member of the Ukrainian delegation Oleksandr Bevz met with representatives of Ukraine's European partners.
During the meeting, the parties coordinated their positions ahead of the negotiations between the Ukrainian and Russian delegations.

"Members of the Ukrainian delegation reiterated Ukraine’s commitment to peace efforts. They elaborated on the items of the agenda, which include leaders’ meeting, a full ceasefire, and humanitarian confidence-building measures," he added.
Ukraine-Russia talks on June 2
Today, June 2, the second round of negotiations between the delegations of Kyiv and Moscow will take place in Istanbul. It is expected that the Russian representatives will bring a memorandum — a document outlining their vision of the conditions for a ceasefire.
Yesterday, June 1, President Volodymyr Zelenskyy approved the composition of the Ukrainian delegation. As before, it will be headed by Defense Minister Rustem Umerov.
