"We have agreed to initiate negotiations on a bilateral security guarantee agreement in line with the G7 Declaration," the President wrote.

Minister Hayashi's visit to Ukraine

Today, on September 9th, the Minister of Foreign Affairs of Japan, Yoshimasa Hayashi, arrived in Kyiv. This is the first visit by a Japanese minister since the beginning of the full-scale invasion by the terrorist country.

As reported by the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, Hayashi would meet with his Ukrainian counterpart, Dmytro Kuleba, to discuss Ukraine's participation in the international community's efforts to "put an end to Russian aggression as quickly as possible."

Among those accompanying the minister to Ukraine are top executives from Japanese companies, including Hiroshi Mikitani, the founder and CEO of Rakuten Group.
