Ukraine and its partners need to prepare plan to end war within months - Zelenskyy

Ukraine, along with its partners, must develop an action plan within a few months following the Peace Summit in Switzerland to compel the Russian Federation toward peace, states Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy during a joint conference with European Council President Charles Michel.
"We have a very understandable way how to do it. And we suggest all the leaders to come to the first summit. It was very difficult to have such a big volume of continents from different continents. Now we need the next steps. The next step is to plan. And we need a detailed plan for each crisis that this war of Putin brought to our land. We have to find and prepare this plan and put this plan on the table for months" Zelenskyy said.
The President of Ukraine added that the plan to end the war should be laid out before the second Peace Summit.
"We don't have too much time, because we have a lot of wounded and dead people on the battlefield and through the civilians. That's why we don't want to have this war for years. So, that's why we want to prepare this joint plan and put it on the table before the Second Peace Summit," the president emphasized.
At the European Council meeting, Volodymyr Zelenskyy outlined the necessary steps to stop Russia's terror. He noted that the current Western pressure on Russia is insufficient. Ukraine needs weapons, an air shield, and long-range capabilities.
Earlier, it was reported about the security commitments from the EU for Ukraine, which were signed on Thursday, June 27.
