Ukraine and Italy may sign security assurance agreement in coming days
Italy expects to sign a bilateral security agreement with Ukraine in the coming days, according to Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Foreign Affairs of Italy, Antonio Tajani.

Security assurances for Ukraine
On February 21, Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy announced that Ukraine was preparing new security agreements with its partners in the coming weeks, including defense support.
The day before, the head of the Office of the President, Andriy Yermak, said that Ukraine was close to signing security assurance agreements with the Netherlands and Denmark.
Regarding Italy, local media reported on February 19 that Ukraine and Italy may soon sign an agreement on security commitments. Currently, a few details of the bilateral agreement are still pending.
The first such agreement was signed in January with the United Kingdom. Similar documents have been signed with Germany and France.
