Ukraine and Croatia have signed an agreement on long-term support and cooperation. It was signed by President of Ukraine Volodymyr Zelenskyy and Prime Minister of Croatia Andrej Plenković, according to the Office of the President.

The agreement with Croatia, like other security agreements of Ukraine, will be in effect for 10 years. Through this agreement, Croatia reaffirms its commitment to support Ukraine until victory in the war.

Among other things, it addresses cooperation between the defense industries of both countries, prospects for joint defense production, and the localization of projects in Ukraine. The countries will also explore opportunities to strengthen cooperation in the areas of digital resilience and cybersecurity, as well as exchange intelligence data.

Humanitarian demining is also a key aspect. Croatia has already allocated over 10 million euros for this purpose and will continue to provide equipment and share knowledge.

The agreement also covers areas such as mine action, care for veterans, and the prosecution of serious crimes, as Croatia has relevant experience related to war.

Additionally, the agreement includes provisions for assistance in humanitarian, energy, legal, and scientific fields. Furthermore, Croatia will facilitate holding Russia accountable for damages caused by aggression and will exert sanctions pressure. Croatia commits to supporting Ukraine's accession to the EU and NATO.

It is important to note that Croatia has been assisting Ukraine since the onset of Russian aggression in 2014. The total amount of assistance since February 2022 is approximately 300 million euros, with 11 defense packages provided.

Moreover, Ukraine has already signed security agreements with over 20 countries, including the United States, the United Kingdom, Germany, France, the Netherlands, and other European states.
