Ukraine and Britain preparing conference on joint weapons production
The Head of the Office of the President of Ukraine, Andriy Yermak, and the National Security Advisor to the Prime Minister of the United Kingdom, Tim Barrow, discussed preparations for a conference on joint defense production, according to the website of the Office of the President.
The interlocutors focused on the Agreement on Security Co-operation between Ukraine and the United Kingdom, which was signed during the visit of the Prime Minister of the United Kingdom to our country.
In continuation of the dialogue between the President of Ukraine Volodymyr Zelenskyy and the Prime Minister of the United Kingdom Rishi Sunak, the preparation for the conference on joint defense production was discussed.
Tim Barrow noted the unprecedented support for the Agreement from the Parliament and political parties of the United Kingdom, indicating that the British people also unequivocally support the security agreement.
The Head of the Office of the President, in turn, thanked the interlocutor for participating in the meeting of advisers on national security and foreign policy advisers of the countries on the implementation of the Ukrainian Peace Formula, which took place in Davos.
Security agreement between the UK and Ukraine
On January 12, the Prime Minister of the UK Rishi Sunak, during his visit to Kyiv, signed the Agreement on Security Co-operation with the President of Ukraine Volodymyr Zelenskyy. Thus, the UK became the first country to sign such an agreement with Ukraine.
The agreement provides guarantees of financial, military, and other types of support.
