This past weekend, Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy stated that since the beginning of Russia's full-scale invasion, the UK has demonstrated true leadership in supporting Kyiv. However, the situation has somewhat changed recently.
The issue was regarding the permission to use British Storm Shadow missiles for strikes against Russia. Ukraine receives missiles from three countries: the UK, France, and the USA.
The media have spread information that the United States has not responded for over a month to the UK's request to allow Ukrainian forces to use Storm Shadow missiles against Russian territory.
At the same time, UK Defense Secretary John Healey stated that the UK would not assist Ukraine in striking targets in Russia. However, the UK may allow Ukraine to use the provided weapons for such attacks.
