UK introduces new package of sanctions against Russia

On Friday, September 12, the United Kingdom announced a new package of sanctions against Russia. The list has been expanded by 30 items, according to Reuters.
According to a government statement, it includes 70 new specifications and 30 new designations.
The restrictions are aimed at increasing economic and political pressure on the Kremlin in response to its aggressive actions.
Sanctions against Russia
British Foreign Minister David Lammy recently announced additional sanctions against Russia, but did not disclose details of the upcoming restrictions.
The UK also recently imposed sanctions on individuals and organizations involved in the deportation of Ukrainian children.
The list includes the mother of Chechen leader Ramzan Kadyrov, Aimani Kadyrova, and the Akhmat Kadyrov Foundation, which organizes re-education and militarization camps for children. In total, the sanctions affected eight individuals and three organizations associated with the Kremlin.
In addition, the European Union is preparing its 19th package of sanctions against Russia since the start of the full-scale war against Ukraine.
The new restrictions, expected in September, are aimed at the shadow fleet and companies that help Moscow circumvent restrictions.
