The next meeting of the Ukraine Defense Contact Group in the Ramstein format will take place on November 17 at NATO headquarters in Brussels, according to NATO’s press service.
“On Tuesday 17 November 2026, the United Kingdom and Germany will convene the Ukraine Defence Contact Group at NATO HQ,” the statement said.
The format was launched in April 2022 at the initiative of the United States to coordinate military assistance to Ukraine. It includes more than 50 countries.
Following the change of administration in the United States in early 2025, the Contact Group’s meetings have officially been chaired by the United Kingdom and Germany.
Earlier, Defense Minister Yevhen Khmara urged Ukraine’s partners to consider transferring 10% of their existing stocks of interceptors to Ukraine, including missiles for Patriot and IRIS-T air defense systems. Kyiv is procuring the missiles using an EU loan.
Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy previously said Ukraine had been waiting for almost a month for US Defense Secretary Pete Hegseth to sign off on missiles for Patriot and NASAMS air defense systems.
The president said Kyiv planned to hold talks with Washington to resolve the issue.
