U.S. to provide Ukraine with nearly 200 armored vehicles
The United States plans to provide Ukrainian border guards and police with 190 Mine Resistant Ambush Protection (MRAPs) vehicles, according to the U.S. Ambassador to Ukraine Bridget Brink.
She notes that these MRAPs will enable Ukrainian law enforcement to protect the civilian population, especially near the front lines.

She also mentioned that she was present alongside U.S. Secretary of State Anthony Blinken in a meeting with representatives of the Ukrainian Ministry of Internal Affairs and the State Border Guard Service of Ukraine. They handed over the first American MRAP to Ukrainian border guards and police.

Blinken stated that the U.S. would provide $300 million in new funding to Ukrainian law enforcement agencies.

Blinken's visit to Kyiv
On September 6, U.S. Secretary of State Anthony Blinken arrived in Kyiv for a working visit. The head of the U.S. State Department met with Volodymyr Zelenskyy, hinting at a meeting between U.S. President Joe Biden and the Ukrainian leader.
Additionally, Blinken held a meeting with the Ukrainian Minister of Foreign Affairs, Dmytro Kuleba. They discussed the possible supply of long-range ATACMS missiles.
Yesterday, the United States allocated a new package of assistance to Ukraine, valued at over $1 billion.
