Explosions were heard in Crimea on the night of June 11. There are reports of fires in Simferopol and Sevastopol, and damaged bridges at land entry points, according to OSINT channels and Russian social media accounts.
The attack on Crimea began around midnight and lasted several hours. The alert was lifted shortly after 4 a.m.
“An explosion in Sevastopol, apparently caused by an incoming strike, was seen in the Kozacha Bay area,” reported the Crimean Wind public group.
Strikes also reportedly hit Komyshev Bay, while in Striletska Bay, a military unit was hit. It is unclear whether these were drones or missiles.
Telegram channels also reported that air defense systems were active in Armiansk, shooting down drones. There was reportedly a strike on the road bridge, damaging it, and burning trucks nearby.
“The bridge at the entrance to Krasnoperekopsk from the side of Armiansk was also damaged; there was a strong glow... It seems that there are no intact bridges left at the land crossings to the peninsula,” Telegram public channels added.
Earlier, the Ukrainian military destroyed the Chonhar Bridge, which connected Crimea with the Kherson region.
Also, in recent days, sounds of explosions and gunfire were heard at night in occupied Crimea following a drone threat; an oil depot was hit.
